What is this site?
FantasyVent is a collection of frustrations that Fantasy Football players have with specific football players, opponents, or Fantasy Football League situations. All content is user generated, and stories are not meant to be taken too seriously, no matter how hardcore you are about Fantasy Football.
How does this site work?
Users enter their name, Fantasy Team name (because we all know that we've made clever names for our teams), Football Player that the user is frustrated with (optional), Location, and a story (under 300 characters). Once a story has been approved, it will be displayed on the page. Other users can then comment on stories and either offer sympathies by clicking the "I feel you, man" link or tell the submitter to "Quit Crying about it!" Note: the term man is supposed to include women. I just thought it would be inappropriate to include "I feel you, woman" and just plain awkward to make it "I feel you, person." The right panel includes the football players users vent about the most, and anyone can click on a player's name to find out who else is venting about the very same player.
Why did you make this site?
I've been playing fantasy football for a mere 4 seasons, and have to admit that I've fallen in love with it. Over these 4 years, I have seen so much craziness occur from DeSean Jackson dropping the ball before the goal line to Michael Turner ripping off 30 yards and a touchdown for no apparent reason in garbage time. A lot of these instances make or break fantasy games, or even seasons. One thing that I've noticed is that when the guy in my league is complaining about Antonio Gates, I just don't care. However, someone else, in a fantasy league far, far, away just might share your pain and chime in. So, I decided to put together a platform for all of us to vent about our fantasy football woes. Now, you don't have to vent by going to a spa to finding Antonio Gates, slapping him, running away, and tripping on your face.
